An additional benefit in the use of new technology LED rope lights is that it can function on 12V therefore can be readily used in cars, private yachts, and any places where only a battery or other low voltage supply is available. When using the ropes in commercial advertisements, the cost is way lower than the use of the conventional lights hence utilizing them in the house or small store can be more practical.
